Woohoo, here’s my first FWF thread! ![]()
I know, debit cards are so not FWF, but 10% cash-back trumps ‘most every CC! ![]()
Here’s what I got in today’s email:
Chase promo email said:Get up to $75 just by using your Chase Debit Card … enroll your Chase debit card along with your 16-digit personalized RSVP code below and get $25 for every $250 you spend up to $75, when you make purchases without using your PIN from now until March 31, 2009.
Extracts from the small print:
* Qualifying purchases include all debit card purchases made without using a PIN. Such “non-PIN” purchases include purchases you sign for, contactless blinkSM purchases, Internet purchases, phone or mail-order purchases, small dollar purchases that do not require a signature, and bill payments (where billers process the transaction as a credit card). Cash advances and Cash transactions do not qualify.
* Only purchases made from the date you enrolled, through March 31, 2009, with the registered Chase debit card, Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card, Chase Leisure Rewards Debit Card or Chase United Mileage Plus Debit Card will be considered in this promotion. A Cash Back award of $25 for every $250 spent on qualifying purchases (up to $75) will be automatically deposited into the Chase checking account associated with the enrolled debit card by April 15, 2009, as long as the referenced debit card is linked to an open checking account that is in good standing. The referenced debit card must be registered online or at a Chase branch in order for purchases made after registration and through March 31, 2009, to qualify. Accounts linked to a high school checking account are not eligible for this offer.
You can sign up here. You need a coupon code, so it’s a targeted offer. Obviously, you need to be a Chase checking account holder, I have no idea what else triggers this offer (I also hold 2 Freedom cards, including my daily spender, if that’s any indication).
Enjoy!
Edit: linkfix, typos
