Save Money On Smoking Cigarettes
We all know, or should know, that smoking is both a dangerous and expensive habit. If you’re a smoker, and you don’t plan on quitting right now, then at least try to save money on cigarettes and lighting instruments so your smoking habit isn’t hurting your budget any more than it has to.
The following are 3 tips to save money on smoking.
- Don’t buy lighters. Lighters and matches are everywhere. You can easily bum a lighter from someone and just keep it. Make sure you don’t lose it or you’ll be asking for another one which you may not receive as easily as the first one. Bars have buckets and bowls full of free matches. Take a handful and leave packs in your car, at work, and at home so you never find yourself buying a lighter or matches from the store.
- Buy discount cigarettes. You’d better believe there are better prices out there than the $7.00 that cigarette machine is trying to hit you up for. Whenever possible, buy your cigarettes by the carton. If there’s a promotion going on, take advantage of it. Sure, it may not be your brand on sale, but no matter if you smoke menthols, lights, or full flavors, there’s surely some brand offering a discount on multiple packs.
- Move away from New York. Due to high taxation on tobacco in New York, a pack of cigarettes runs New Yorkers almost $10.00 a pack.
